AFCON 2023 Final Moments

It was indeed a match full of emotions and high hopes from the super eagles of Nigeria to the elephant of Ivory Coast. The final match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast kicked off at exactly 9pm WAT, with Nigeria being the first to kick the ball. The match was no doubt nothing but a shocker on the side of many Nigerians as their hopes was dashed away by the super eagles play pattern. Regardless it ended in Favor of the host nation, as the match ended in a 2 – 1 victory in their favor.

The super eagles of Nigeria did their very best, but it wasn’t a lucky day for the Nigerians. On ball possession , the Ivorians clinched over a 60 percent, leaving the super eagles with barely 30 percent. This statistics alone shows they came out in force and their team spirit favored them.

The big guys of the competition also made names for them selves, the likes of Troost Ekong of super eagles, Williams of south Africa, and Emilio Nsue of Equatorial Guinea as they were awarded individually.
