NANS On Asuu Strike : Extends Protest, says FG is thoughtless

In line with the protest on Tuesday, that grounded the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the National Association of Nigerian Students are fed up. The peaceful protest held was to seek resolution concerning the ongoing strike.

The Student association, has therefore declared a continuation of its protest for Wednesday.

In a press statement signed NANS National Public Relations Officer, Giwa Temitope. Tuesday night, sent to KACHI TV. NANS said it would be converging at popular Iwo Road roundabout in Ibadan on Wednesday to continue its protest.

National Association of Nigerian Students said the Federal Government of Nigeria has been so “imprudent” (irresponsible) regarding the strike.

“In sustaining the #EndASUUStrikeNow struggle, which commenced today, we call on all Nigerian students, parents and workers to join us in Ibadan tomorrow as we continue the agitation.

Nigerian Students have stayed over 7 months at home, this is enough reason to agitate for a protest. The future of our students are at stake. If the demands of Asuu are met, we believe there will speedy move of our academic calendar. NANS are agitating for the strike to be over so as to give the students a feel of hope once again in our educational system.
