This tragic incident happened on the 19th of February, 2024. It was believed that the lion attacked two of the zoo keepers, leaving one dead and the other seriously injured. People who cam to the scene actually had to shoot the lion, after causing panic attack on the students of this great institution. Report shows that the zoo keeper is confirmed dead and it a very sorrowful moment for the people of Obafemi Awolowo University.
It was made known that he has been feeding this lion for about nine years. This has kept many wondering why the sudden attack, meanwhile wild animals will always be wild animals . May his soul rest in peace
