University Autonomy in Nigeria
The conference addressed topics like university autonomy, the Students Loans Fund, and education financing, all of which align with President Bola Tinubu’s vision for the education sector.
The conference theme will remain relevant until Nigeria reaches 100 percent of the targets set in the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and the education-related goals of Agenda 2060 of the African Union.
Minister Mamman emphasized that as a signatory to SDG 2030 and AU Agenda 2060, Nigeria must demonstrate its commitment to these goals through leadership and active involvement in the implementation process. He also stressed the importance of effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure the achievement of these goals.
